Neptune Electronic Meter Upgrades

Over the last several years the Board has budgeted the updating of manual read water meters to Neptune electronic meters. As the manual meters are aging out, the Neptune electronic meters will provide better accuracy, advanced data collection capabilities, and durability. We are currently about 83% complete with this project with goal of completion in 2026.
Water Tank Maintenance
June 10, 2025
In June 2024, PWSD #1 of McDonald County entered into contract with Viking Industrial Painting to begin maintenance of our water storage tanks. Each tank will be inspected, repaired, cleaned, disinfected, and painted. Annual inspections will be done by Viking Industrial Painting for safety, sanitary, security, and structural issues.
Standpipes at Well #1, Well #2, and the West standpipe at Well #3 have been completed.
